Watermark cleanup can be legitimate when you own the Seedance output, have permission from the rights holder, or are preparing an authorized asset for your organization. It should not be used to disguise ownership, conceal provenance, or redistribute protected work.
Start with permission
Confirm who owns the source and retain the original project, export, or license. If a third party supplied only a watermarked preview, request the authorized original instead of editing around their licensing controls.
Keep a reversible workflow
Retain the untouched source, work on a copy, and review every changed area at full resolution. For video projects, preserve the original clip, audio, frame rate, and timing before experimenting with extracted frames.
Know the current product limits
Seedance Watermark Remover currently accepts one JPG, PNG, or WebP image up to 10 MB. Direct video files are not supported, and the preview provider currently returns an unchanged copy.
Choose privacy-conscious tools
Check retention policies before uploading client or personal media. This service uses private storage and schedules uploads, results, and job records for deletion after 24 hours.
